About this space

Rue Bailly, a discreet pearl in Paris's 3rd arrondissement, wraps itself around history like a fine embroidery on the city's ancient fabric. Its name, inherited from the bailiff of the Abbey of Saint-Martin-des-Champs, resonates like an echo of the past. Before the creation of Rue de Turbigo and Rue Réaumur, this artery was made up of two small 18th-century streets, forming a mysterious "L", which merged in 1878 to create the Rue Bailly we know today.

The buildings that line this street, particularly numbers 7 and 9, stand in a neighborhood steeped in history, once home to the priory of Saint-Martin-des-Champs. Every stone, every beam seems to whisper memories of the past, making this place a veritable sanctuary of memory.

In this Marais setting, a stone's throw from the Enfants Rouges district, lies a 330 m² space where history and modernity intertwine. A former industrial workshop, it features 120 cm stone walls, an impressive watchtower and wooden beams, typical of the timeless charm of the Marais. This atypical location, between art galleries, trendy bars and trendy restaurants, offers a unique setting for events, showrooms or cocktails. In 2023, Michael Timsit integrated it into the Galeries Joseph group, giving new life to a place steeped in history and creativity.
