About this space

In the heart of the Marais district, a former industrial workshop from the early 20th century has been transformed into an exceptional place. Once the headquarters of Mac-Ty, France's leading necktie manufacturer, the building was renovated by Michael Timsit in 2016 to create a showcase that blends modernity and classicism. With its uncluttered, bright spaces, the gallery retains the soul of its walls thanks to exposed stonework and period woodwork. The 1100 sq. m. of space are spread over two levels, where a majestic 12-metre-high glass roof rises above, while a more intimate 5-metre-high glass roof bathes the space in exceptional natural light.

Galeries Joseph's flagship venue, it becomes the ideal setting for exhibitions, pop-up stores and press days, a veritable crossroads of creation. Located at the corner of rue de Turenne and rue Saintonge, it is part of the district's history, between heritage and innovation. Rue de Turenne, built on the former roof of a 14th-century royal sewer, bears witness to the evolution of Paris through the ages, as does this gallery, which combines past and present in a subtle dialogue.
