Comme des Garçons Returns to Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré with New Flagship Store

Japanese avant-garde label Comme des Garçons has reopened on the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris with a striking new flagship store. Located at 56 Rue du Faubourg St.-Honoré, the 800 sqm boutique spans four floors and houses the largest Comme des Garçons retail space in the French capital.

After shutting its original Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré boutique in 2012, Comme des Garçons’ return solidifies its presence in one of the city’s most exclusive luxury shopping districts. The new location sits alongside top fashion houses like Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton. 

Designed by Rei Kawakubo and the in-house team, the boutique features the label's signature futuristic aesthetic. The interior juxtaposes rough concrete floors and white walls with lacquered red backdrops and furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows along the ground level tease passersby with a glimpse of the unique retail experience inside.

Spread across four levels, the store offers the most comprehensive Comme des Garçons shopping in Paris. The ground floor houses the main Comme des Garçons lines along with Comme des Garçons Parfums. The basement is dedicated to Comme des Garçons Shirt, Shirt Forever and Black Comme des Garçons. On the first floor, shoppers can browse the more conceptual Comme des Garçons Comme des Garçons and Homme Deux collections. Finally, the top floor exclusively carries Junya Watanabe and Junya Watanabe Man plus Beatles and Homme lines.

Notably, the new boutique is the only location worldwide selling Comme des Garçons furniture, including re-editions in signature red specially made for the store. Other highlights include world-exclusive pieces and limited-edition items to commemorate the opening. 

With its ambitious four-story space at 56 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the new Comme des Garçons flagship cements the brand's status in Paris as a fashion innovator and retail pioneer.
